I had jury duty yesterday, so got the opportunity to sketch several people while waiting to be called. Jury duty is perfect for this because the people are usually bored and reading, playing games on their cell phones or even snoozing, so they stay still.

Andalusian Horse

I saw this beautiful grey horse at an Andalusian show several years ago and just had to draw it. At one point I was planning on drawing a bunch of animal portraits in this style, and possibly selling them as postcards. I don't know why I lost interest in it, because it was enjoyable at the time.  I think my day job was interfering with my time and I decided I had to give something up, and I didn't want to give up painting so I dropped this.
